Yearning For His Return…

You know it’s nearly home time when you feel like you’re living in the Twilight Zone more often than not. I cannot relate. Knowing this world is not my home and feeling it with increase are two different things. I’m at that stage where you’ve been away from home for a while and it’s been a blast in places but it’s not as good as the brochure suggested. In fact, it’s over hyped and I can’t speak the language..Only one problem, there’s been a delay because there’s always that one person who isn’t on the coach yet and we’re waiting for them to get on board! HURRY UP!  Meh.. it’s time to go HOME!

Hold up!! Now as much as we all yearn to go home and be with the Lord, (there’s a crown for that BTW!), i wouldn’t ever want to give the impression that this ‘waiting’ is a passive affair. Not by a long shot! We are called to occupy until He comes and we have been entrusted with the gospel. We are to be salt and light. Apart from its preserving qualities, salt also adds and enhances flavour. Let our words be seasoned with salt , a metaphor for truth and goodness so that we can stand as lighthouses of hope amidst a sea of chaos. May our voices be heard above the winds and crashing waves as we beckon to the drowning, to Come. ..”Oh taste and see that the Lord is Good!” Psalm 34:8

Maranatha!

    1. Yes!! Continually looking up! Have to keep praying and sharing the gospel. The darker the sky, the brighter the starts shine. And boy is it dark outside!
